If you are using windows vista then you could have had the same thing as me. there was a windows update last week that has affected computers. some as yours have down load problems, some wont allow internet use, mine was it would not allow AVG Antivirus updates, there is a fix as i have just got my computer back. but i sent mine to the shop, im not sure if there is a online fix though. hope this helps.
