imho anyway
they add weight and cost to the kart, yes they are quicker, but it allows more silly overtaking in some areas of the grid, as you just launch up the inside and pull on the front brake very hard, the kart stops very quickly compared to rear brake only....
Yes you may stuff up the corner and slow both of you down but you still make the pass without going off the track.....

they are very expensive also
