Nik, I was working for Ford during the 1991 recession and things were pretty bad... but I don't think they're anyway near as bad as they are today. Sales are declining month on month and there is absolutely nothing to indicate that this decline is arresting or even slowing. The major issue right now is access to credit - the lifeline for car sales. I can envisage things getting significantly worse than they are now.

In terms of F1, I would be surprised if there are any manufacturers involved by Q2 next year.
