Idea for F1 customer cars...

I reckon the FIA should allow customer cars, but only if designs or parts are submitted to the FIA 6 months in advance. I'm pretty sure the Williams from September would be more than a match for a Mclaren from March. This could encourage Provdrive, Carlin, ART etc to enter. I would love to see 26 cars on the grid again.

Or what about a standard chassis tender, with a few aero parts free (wings & floor). If I remember rightly some teams used to buy March chassis off the shelf.

How about a team championship as well as constructors like in BTCC so any customer teams still get a share of the prize money.

Does anyone have any other ideas?
