Harrods, Bentley, Morgan, Cartier, and even the staggeringly wierd Bristol Cars would disgree with you. They all have excellent business models with VASTLY less than 20% appeal to the market.
However, they too, wouldn't claim to have a significant effect on the WHOLE market! Exactly like green cars..... when we finally get them.
As soon as petrol returns to being expensive (let's guess, 3 to 10 years!), then there WILL be pressure to produce them because there WILL be a market demand. Until then...... they will only sell in the same sort of numbers as the niche markets listed above!
I wish I were WRONG about that but I am pragmatic!
