So.... explain to me how FAILING to take note of the smear test can be seen as making someone a 'role model'!

It's more simple than ALL the 'different truths' of your argument. It's about the degradation of our LANGUAGE!

Jade is NOT a 'role model', despite what you think. Our language is FULL of terms to describe, accurately, what she is. Some of the polite ones are as follows:-

1) Someone for whom you have empathy (Identification with and understanding OF!)

2) A 'dire warning'.

3) an unfortunate (someone who didn't REALLY get lucky!)

4) someone for whom you have pity

5) etc.

A 'role model' is someone whom you'd like to EMULATE; someone whom you would like to FOLLOW!

Now.... please tell me that you really WOULD like to emulate Jade Goody! If you would, then I undestand your use of the words 'role model'..... but I have less understanding of you SANITY! And your aspirations leave me AGHAST!

.... hold on, here! Perhaps you meant a 'NEGATIVE role model'! That I CAN understand!

Perhaps, at best, she is a WARNING to us all: money and fame are NOT worth chasing, they rarely bring long-term happiness or 'peace', because what REALLY matters are the BASICS: family, friends, laughter, good food and drink, sunsets, loyalty, love and all the USUAL stuff which gets dismissed in this utterly INSANE chase for MONEY via fame or vice versa!!
