Sorry to hear about your sister Iain, my sister is now in remission from this terrible disease which claimed my Mum when i was 12 and 2 of her sisters as well.

I used to be a blood donor but can't do it any more as i have had a hip replacement and having my second done on Mar 9th, I received blood last time and probably will do again this time,so many thanks to all those that do.

Strange as it may seem the bone removed last time was saved and i have just had blood tests done to make sure I am OK for other people to now receive this bone.

Give blood and carry a donor card or authorise it on your drivers licence, it helps others far more than we can imagine.
