Over 80% of the countries eligible donors DO NOT give blood,just expect it to be there when they or theirs need it.

I have supported the National Blood Service for over 45 years after my life was saved by a lot of people I have never been able to thank.

The situation for blood supplies currently is grim,with certain blood groups nearly out of stock completely across the country.

People have been put off by the fear of becoming "infected" by giving blood,you can only become infected by receiving "infected" blood.

"I dont give beacause I don't like needles", don't worry if you faint,nurses are there and you get a cup of sweet tea and a biscuit after.
