David.... the problem of limiters are known and are as follows:-
1) Cost 2) Consistency (design one what will work with the latest petrol engines, diesel engines and hybrids AND will work with the TR6 mecahnical injection, the early Caterhams with mechanical points and coils, early cars with Magnetos, etc. etc.) 3) Defeatability. You and I (and Vic and others) could byepass ANY such system in about 60 seconds! Look what has happened over 'Road Angel' etc.. 4) Cost. Retro-fitting would be STUNNINGLY expensive. 5) Etc.
It COULD be done but, like all OTHER technical solutions, it has VAST problems... certainly on the same scale as the problems we have already if not VASTLY greater!
