Not a dnf, but a pitlane retart; but it's not really the difference between a good start and a poor start, more the difference between a poor start and not starting at all.

I was merely refuting Itpro's claim that the drivers only had to push a go button. In the not too distant past that was true but now the driver is responsible for modulating clutch and throttle.

Before anyone goes on about clutchless gearshifts, these have been clutchless for donkey's years; certainly since the early Cosworth DFV days (although grabbing 1st or 2nd was often easier using the clutch).
