Do you really think that nothing can be done about 87% of fatalities and 95% of all accidents?
Well lets put it this way, according to the government (and some may suggest they are optimistic) the 6000 speed cameras save 100 lives per year.
One insurance company has estimated that twice that number would be saved in we moved the clock forward rather than back in winter. Now would you trust the government who clearly has an axe to grind, or an insurance company who doesn't?
It's this blinkered thinking - let's focus on speeding and, if that doesn't work let's ... focus on, speeding only harder.... Joined up thinking going straight out of the window.
