The issue is not what happened on the track. What LH did, on the circuit, was correct, in that he asked his team to get clarification regarding overtaking.
It is the fact that the Stewards WERE LIED TO!
Basically, that is deemed as cheating, or unsportsman like or extremely unprofessional !!
If McLaren believe that they have been mistreated, then they always have the right to appeal. Will they? Probably not, as they know that they are in the wrong.
