call me synical but didnt ford and vauxhall ( i think)put their prices up by exactly the £1000 being discounted by them on the first of april ( 2 weeks before this was anounced)
put the price up then discount it and you look like you've had a good deal, dodgy sounding to me.

also I wouldnt think that many people that are driving around in a 10 year old car are in the market for a brand new car. most people driving that age of car are doing so as they cant aford a new one. so they would trade there 10 year old one in for lets say a 6 year old one and keepit for four years or so.
