My twopenneth, everyone who is eligable to vote should be made to do so even if its a spoilt voting paper, then if you had to turn out you would be more likely to vote for someone and we would see a far better picture of which party gets the majority you only have to look at the last General Election to realise only about a third of eligable voters actually turned out, labour crowed about a large majority and a mandate to do whatever they wanted. I have always beleived if you don't vote you cannot argue or complain who's in because you didn't contribute to the overall result, you might even have got your choice who knows.
