It isn't illegal to do it, however try explaining that to the police/law/insurance-company following an incident! It soon becomes an aggravating rather than mitigating circumstance.

Bike riding is extremely taxing on the brain and requires ultimate concentration, especially with all the idiots on the road, so don't do it!
