If having the best car somehow devalues a championship then a lot of "worthy" champions from the past need to be reclassified. The driver with the best car over the course of the season almost exclusively ends up winning the championship. Assuming Jenson wins the title, I bet the "value" of his title would be seen differently had he won six of the last seven rounds rather than six of the first.
Further, if winning six races, two podiums and in the points in every other race bar one, in a season when more teams have been on the podium than ever, is somehow not "worthy", I don't know what is. I doubt he'll be considered one of the greats but unworthy?
