We went with Onetel a few years ago (they were offering the best deals around at the time) and had such awful service all round that we decided to pay a little more a month and use BT.

The difference between these mickey mouse companies (Virgin, NTL, AOL, etc etc) and BT is massive. We've had problems with the service twice (hardware related) and on both occasions the customer service was fantastic. And their guidance worked too!

I'd tolerate the odd blip like this from BT in return for the consistently reliable service they offer for the other 11 months of the year!
