being scottish and living in rural scotland this is something we get every year I always fail to understand why it comes as a suprise to people that its snowing

A shovel and snow survival kit goes into my van around the middle of november and doesnt come out again until middle of march

snow heavy frosts and gale force winds are the normal weather conditions in winter, its just this last few years we have had unusualy mild winters that people seem to have forgoten how to prepare for driving in the winter in Britian.
