hmmmm thats rather unfair.....have you got any experience of the construction industry? are you an engineer of surveyer yourself? in my experience its not the setting out engineers but the designers and labourers that cost the money.....ie the designer has designed something that cannot be built or has placed services in the wrong place, or the labourers have plut a shovel through a service or havent built it properly.

setting out engineers can only do what is put on the drawings, on the sites ive been on ive saved tax payers money by coming up with more cost effective solutions or by recognising problems before you get to them.
