If I see it, I always get the marshal to pull in anyone at Rye who is practicing with anything loose.
Hair, hoodie, suit belt, loose helmet strap, ther're all potentially fatal.
You shouldn't wear anything over your suit, it's there as a fire stop, a flaming fleece full of fuel isn't funny but it will keep you warm just when you are producing your own heat with adrenaline and panic and don't really need the energy contribution.
The owners can't see everything but it is up to everyone who sees a danger, to point it out to them.
Inexperienced people just don't know the avoidable dangers and we should look after them.
