Errrrrr..... One of us has ..... errr.... 'restricted vision'...... (I am not allowed to ask if you are BLIND!)

Have a CLOSE look at the video:-

Lewis is UNDERSTEERING off the pit entry into the gravel trap and he applies as much left-lock as he thinks he needs to make the turn..... However the understeer dumps him to the gravel BECAUSE he has arived too fast...... Why has his steering 'wheel' got 90 degres of turn is he DIDN'T want to avoid stopping?

You suggest he COULD have done 'something' once that undersaeer had started (caused by excess speed of arrival).....

..... now tell us EXACTLY what he SHOULD have done OTHER than 'concentrate harder', 'arrive slower', that he DIDN'T do!

In truth, like ALL excellent drivers, he attempts to REDUCE the cornering forces trhough the front tyres by WIDENING the radius of his term to the MAXIMUM while avoiding the barrier.... even if that DOES mean driving over the gravel..... into which he finally SINKS!

Just WATCH the video with unbiased eyes!
