Errrr.... Did not fall to pieces? You must have been watching a different season to me! What happened in pretty much every qualifying session from Silverstone onwards? Yes his race pace was much better but Aside from Monza I cant remember a single venue where he finished on the podium past Turkey!

I LIKE Jenson! I was willing him to win the championship! I was CHUFFED to pieces when he won! I (am sad) bought every single newspaper the day after he won! But even I can see that he crumbled!

My point was proving to Ian that Jenson crumbling but WINNING in 2009 because of his experience cannot be compared to Lewis crumbling and LOSING 2007 because in 2007 because of his inexperience.

Kimi and Fernando DID capitalise on Lewis' poor perfomances at the very end of the season in 2007. In 2009 Rubens, Vettel AND Webber ALL FAILED (as you rightly say) to capitalise on Jensons POOR final HALF of the year.

Jenson FULLY deserved the championship! He was the best over the course of the season. But he DID crumble. Either that or he excelled in the first half of the season, and went back to normal for the second half. Id hope the latter is not true!
