now you have confused me Doink, speed limits are speed limits, correct me if i am wrong but you seem to be saying some are ok to break but others should be stuck too

”PS.... it's nice to be on the same 'side' as you, for a change!”

I know I will be voting tory next………bugger did

But on this issue we have always been on the same side, road safety and but it is how it is enforced we differ , I drive for a living, the stats may show the roads are safer but standards are terrible on the roads, bad judgement, lack of judgement, high risk moves, no attempt to change driving to the conditions………this winter scared me to death, not because of my driving but because everyone else seem to have a deathwise

Cameras will never replace a full policing over the roads, a policing that installs the fear you could get caught for all traffic offences not just speeding, never give my support to any moves that reduce the role of coppers and traffic cops in particular to police our roads. The money from road tax, fuel tax etc is there but not being spent on the roads

But the good news, you can drive like a bat out of hell for silly money now

Left track days for karting, left karting for daughter so back doing track days, so many options now, most cheaper than a speeding ticket

Cadwell and brands doing taster sessions, £25 for 20 mins, can book more than one session on a day

Cadwell doing £59 evening sessions for 2.5 hours open pit

Silverstone doing evening session for less than £100

The options have never been better to drive as fast as you want

Got Cadwell next Tuesday, £59 (5.30pm until 8pm), barkston heath on 1st aug £89 (all day, sprint circuit/salom/ drift figure of 8 and oulton park full circuit full day £120 on sept 8th……..day before my big 40…can post links if any speeders interested

Ian I am hated on the celica uk owners club……..guys on there spending £5000 getting there standard gen 7 celicas from 190bhp to 300+, I ask what track days you going to do……oh I would never take it on track……..you can guess the rest

Mine is pretty standard performance, some decent pads and fluid, and good look over by a trusted mechanic and some uprated springs, but that is probably overkill……if it can pass an mot it will with some common sense checks give you some thrills on a track day and no worse than speeding on public roads

Ian, I do think you don’t give enough credit to posters on UKK, put there views up to be ripped down and come back to defend them, never going to change anything on here…….just a view swop shop, sorry for long post but trust me you get a very good standard of debate on here…………celica guys only understand pictures and knob gags…..even then you have to explain it to them, the fact you keep posting probably means you think the same

As a non karter still check in most days
