Vettel had the speed and the line and was always the most likely to be first into the corner. Defending the 'lost cause' is a common cause of incidents in karting and ok against another competitor but not your team mate.
Had they have gone side by side through 12,13 and 14, chances are Hamilton would have nailed at least one of them on the start finish straight. Both RB drivers were at fault for the incident from a team view, judicially though there is no doubt Vettel was at fault.
