I know the riders who lost their lives have young families, to me that makes them selfish for entering such a dangerous event. But it was their decision to enter. No rider is forced to do the TT, they do it because they want to, it is the ultimate challenge in motorcycle sport.
No one is forced to do this, they do this because they WANT to.
Long may it continue.
As for reducing the size of the bikes that enter?...the reduction of CC in moto gp resulted in higher corner speeds from the lighter machines so it wouldn't really make it safer.

The danger of the TT is part of the challenge, if it wasn't dangerous then all riders of all levels would want to do it.
