The police are a far greater danger to the public up there than Raoul Moat is. I wouldn't be surprised if one or more innocent civilians are shot by the police a la Stockwell as there are far too many of them with heavy metal and nervous trigger fingers in that space. Let's hope that's not what happens.

By the way, don't they have dogs to track people in this kind of situation ?
