What.... you mean as 'difficult and risky' as removing the a car's 'Cat'? I am amazed how many people many manage this 'difficult and risky' task. As I am thus amazed by the number of Bikers who changer THEIR exhaust to an illegal one, the numbers of peopled who tint their windows illegally, the number of people who modify their cars without informing their insurers, the number of people who fit illegally loud (if they use them) stereo systems...... do you want me to continue the list....? It's pretty endless.

The amazing piece is the ones who DO those modifications do also tends to be the ones who have less regard for the SPEEDING laws, too.

Personally, I'd have put the failure to insure your car at ALL as a 'pretty dangerous and risky' 'approach' but we are told that 10% of cars are USED in this state.

My point is your assessment of 'pretty risky' does NOT seem to concern that many people.

Probably, the test would be, would **I** disable a speed restrictor..... and would YOU....... and how many KARTERS would do so? Assuming that I 'should' be the least likely to do so (given my position on speeding) and that I am NOT CERTAIN that I WOULD NOT disable it..... I think that may indicate a trend here.

But.... as I said.... if you can design a system that IS practical, enforceable and affordable and offers sufficient tamper protection.... I'll join you in creating the beast and we can go and make some MONEY!

However, while you have NOT done so and while cameras are the ONLY (currently) practical, enforceable and affordable system available..... I am forced to support THAT imperfect system.
