Okay, so it might have been the worse kept secret anyway but I support the BBC on this. The Stig is their invention [for want of a better word] and they should have every right to retain their driver/s anonymity.

Besides, is it really relevent who The Stig is anyway, so long as the driver/s capabilities are very similar. He is perceived as The Stig in the way that a Dalek is a Dalek, and nobody wants to know who sits inside one of those.
