Here's the dilema facing Dick and Martin. The creation of a modern forum and bulletin board site is trivial. In fact there are plenty of the off the shelf applications that you could get running in an hour or two. The difficulty will be migrating and organizing the content [i.e. posts/news/users etc...] on UKK to the new environment.

Let's not loose sight of the fact that this is a two way street. The ultimate value of this site is the users and their contributions. UKK was the first to get going, hence the reason why the vast majority of us and our contributions have gravitated here. There are plenty more places to discuss karting today. Most are much better technically than here and several are gathering a head of steam in terms of users and contributions. It would be a great shame if the contributors that had been so loyal to UKK became fragmented, but I guess if nothing's done to improve UKK, that's what will happen.

A pity.
