This was on the telly on eurosport and they did a trackside interview with him immediately after that crash. An he said he got his shoelace stuck on the brake pedal. You can see his foot is still stuck on it after he's come out the kart.

I guess having just won the rotax world final or whatever it's called he was pretty ecstatic but if he'd have kept even one hand on the wheel it wouldn't have got away from him like that.
