i did all those experiments when i was at school too ,did you also know a bullet fired from a gun at horizontal to the earth will fall at the same rate as one dropped from the guns barrel.ie they will both hit the ground at the same time.i was led to believe that gravity is the force of attraction between 2 objects .all objects are attracted to each other in proportion to their mass.2 ships un anchored in a harbour will eventually collide.due to their attraction to each other.That is why the force of gravity is less on the moon ,because the moon has a much lower mass than the earth and mass/human ratio is lower.
