Oh I have loads of excuses:
1) I spend all my efforts (and cash)on his kart so it's a lot better set up/maintained than mine.
2) he has a new engine
3) he has a new chassis
4) he's on good rubber, I'm using his old practice cast-offs
5) I let him go past as dont want to take him out accidently.
6) I'm tired from push starting his kart and then mine all the time

at the end of the day though he's just younger, fitter and plain quicker.
