Why not, for Ł2,000 or so, buy an HD Projector? It takes up virtually no room and gives you a screen measured in metres rather than inches.

Personally, I can't bring myself to spend that sort of money on TV's and the like (I'll stick with my Ł50 second hand TV), not just because there's nothing worth watching but also because, even when there is, I end up falling asleep in front of it.

I also struggle to see how watching something in HD is inherently better than SD, or how hearing it in surround sound is inherently better than stereo? Then again, I can't say the cinema does anything for me either so....
