that was a very big fire that spread very quickly which was put out by some very brave mechanics from all teams running into the garage in shorts and t shirts carrying fire extinguishers. the fire was out before the first fire engine arived ( which took ages) the pile of discarded empty extinguishers shows shows how all other team mechanics rushed to help fellow racers. the garage is gutted and a lot of equipement will have been written off but it looks like only a few injuries although i here that one mechanic is being airlifted by helicopter lets hope it not life threatning.

a very sad and dramatic end to a very good race.
