Stoners rear tyre got destroyed by the Honda power, simple as. That said he did a good damage limitation job. I think the Yamaha may even be in the ascendancy now, and its just the sublime talent that Casey and no other has shown on the Ducati that flatters the Honda too presently. Not even the alleged third 'Alien' Pedrosa could get a result on it yesterday, and his smoother style and lower weight theoretically should have been kinder to the tyres. It needed Caseys supernatural skills.

Casey retiring really does mean 2013 already has Jorge's name on it, he was magnificent yesterday and I believe the only rider in the modern era to match Casey for talent and commitment.

I do almost hope Rossi goes to Honda because maybe they can develop the bike to hold a candle to Jorge otherwise theres going to be one Premier League rider, maybe two division one in Rossi and Pedrosa, a couple nearly men like Cal, Dovi and Bautista, RdeP and then the young guns and also rans.

Of course with the likes of Marquez (best equipment, weight advantage but very talented), Iannone, Gino and Redding from Moto2 and Fenati, Maverick, Rins etc looking special in Moto3 it could be all change in 5 years time.
