For me this whole recession malarkey is really quite simple, you can't spend, what you haven't got! For too long have labour been wasting money etc, who ever came in this time would have to make cuts to curve spending, remember the conservatives are only actually cutting the deficit, we still have all the debt that the uk has built up over the years to tackle after that!
I still say what they are doing at the moment is the correct thing, yes it's really painful, and I'm affected as much as other people in this recession, but it's the difference between needs and wants, I need to have a roof over my head, I don't need to go racing every weekend or go on holiday. I have a fairly modest wage, below the uk average, and yet while I've still got a job I'm managing to pay a mortgage, run a car and still put a bit away each month to buy a race car eventually!
Yeh the recession is here and it's not easy, but the sooner people shut up about blaming governments and look at their own spending and just deal with life, the better IMHO
