just got time to look at this one a bit closer - what stands out to me was the massive potencial for it to have been a lot worse. Safety procedure just about working to thankfully avoid any deaths. It can always be better. Motorsport is dangerous it says so on the tin. For drivers, riders, marshals, mechanics and spectators, I dont think you have to be American for it to 'apply worse' lol
I was reading the Thai motorsport safety regs the other day - it read welcome to thailand, have a nice day, drive ---->> way.
