For the relatively limited track time and the numbers competing, there is a high number of accidents at the TT, many of them fatal. Therefore the level of risk and the fatal consequences are at an unacceptable level (for itpro and many others). I fully understand why the riders do it but I can't argue with the statistics. Flying also sadly results in occasional accidents. However, the accident rate per flying hour is very low, particularly compared to the TT. The risk is deemed acceptable. I don't think anyone has yet to properly counter itpro's points and I certainly can't. Keep going though as it is quite entertaining :-)
