He was a great karting guy.

Between 1973 and 1975 he was 3 times Italian champion, Junior World Champion and European champion.

In 1977, he was Karting World Champion.

In his Formula 1 years, he gained the nick-name:-

Andrea de Crasheris..... for obvious reasons.

Personally, I remember him in karting and then one ludicrous lap of Spa when he took driving through Eau Rouge to a new level.

A sad loss.

While we are at it, good luck Bianchi. Not a good weekend and a lot more than 'an anti-climax...', Lewis.
