I don't agree with that.
The riders in the TT do it for the immense thrill of riding the course.
They know the danger but will do it anyway.
The spectators are extremely unlikely to want anything to happen to the riders, why would they?
Their favourite riders could be killed or injured.
There comes a point where you have to step back and let people get on with what they want to do, with their own life.
The riders and their families and mechanics etc know the risks, yet they still do it.
We have this discussion every year and every year the TT goes ahead.
