Complete tripe!

The Germans were being run by a DICTATOR when they amassed their war debt (unless you are suggesting it was the debt created between the wars). When he was finally toppled, most of the country returned to sanity (I did say 'most').

Greece got rid of their dictators DECADES ago and promptly ran up as much debt as they could under elected Govt.s of 'socialist' AND 'conservative' persuasion. They were warned repeatedly that it was getting out of hand BUT they voted (like the utter morons they are) for a SOCIALIST govt. who wants to spend even MORE money...... and.... what a huge shock..... no one is now willing to keep lending them unlimited sums because they can't (errrrr...... won't) pay back what they owe already!

If it were a toppled Nazi dictator that ran up these debt in Greece, then you just MIGHT have a point. However, the Greeks (the majority) voted, supported, ELECTED and have even just had a referendum CONFIRMING these moronic views about 'Borrow, Borrow, Borrow'. This is a nation who feels WE owe them a feather-bedded life. Sorry guys, screw you!

Only imbeciles think Germany (and the rest of us) should lend them even MORE money when they can't/won't pay back what they have already borrowed!

So, for those who think anyone SHOULD lend Greece more money AND/OR just write off their current debt.... let's test you to see if you are willing to live by your professed 'morals':-

I need money. I already owe VASTLY more than I can repay. I want to borrow a further £1,000 from (for example) Dynamax. I chose to borrow the money over the last 30 years and I spent it on gambling and drinking. I assume that Dynamax is now DELIGHTED to offer me what he feels Germany should offer Greece: so.... he's going to lend me a further £1,000 A*N*D write of the debt I already owe him........ As F***ING if! However, if you really ARE willing to do so, then I think you are a moral giant, genius and an almost god-like figure and I'll thank you DEEPLY for the gift.....(b*gg*r) .... errr loan! I'll send you my bank details IMMEDIATELY! I just don't believe Dynamax is that much of a sucker...... but he expects the rest of us to be......

The Greeks knowingly voted for this 'we don't want to be adults' policy only 9 days ago. If that's what they want, democracy says, it's THEIR decision and THEIR right to make that decision ....then....... they can have it! Just don't expect the rest of us to pay for this!

In the same way, it's OUR right NOT to lend them the money..... or have you now decided that Greek voters control OUR financial policy and can tell US what we should lend them...?

Please note, I am supporting DEMOCRACY throughout this discussion. Greece should be allowed to vote for this stuff....... AND SO SHOULD WE! We vote..... grow-up, Greece!
