The migrants are in Malta because it's one of the closest land masses and a good point to get to the wealthier nations in the rest of Europe. What do you expect them to do, sail into Tilbury docks?

Yes, England is the international language and that is a reason for people coming here. However, in other countries, English isn't the most common second language. Moroccans, for instance, being an ex French colony, will generally speak French.

Irrespective of the reasons behind a migrant's chosen destination, your notion that they're all coming to England is plain wrong and not borne out by facts. We take less than many European countries and more than others.
