I did P1 P2 and P3 in 2004/05 and didn't touch Matrices, Eigenvalues and Eigenvectors. They were further maths I think. We then covered them in my first year of engineering, which was nice and easy for the further maths students.

I personally think that all these different exam boards adds to the problem. One persons maths A level is completely different to another persons coz of a different syllabus with a different exam board. Obviously there will be some common topics, but I still think there should be one exam board for all each subject.

Oooo, and the biggest joke is resits. lol, I messed up P1, resat it a year later having done P2 and P3. Having a years worth of extra knowledge meant it had got much easier and got full marks! Should get rid of resits really.
