Ok proof by negative is probably a bad use of english. I could use a reversed burden of proof, which is to say neither bodywork nor nerf bars can be confirmed by observation. Although my observation would be that my back is still in one piece.

Anyway here's a link to the FIA's leaflet which is about as much as I can find about it;

They never claim that the bodywork (except for the rear plastic bumpers) are supposed to decrease roll over.

But like helmets, race suits and circuits I trust that they know what they are doing.
