Thats a completely different situation. In what way would F1 being cheaper to compete in for the teams effect us as consumers. The agrobusiness model does effect us, it gives us cheaper food. Cheaper F1 won't even give us cheaper entertainment, that cost saving won't be passed on to us. The only thing it may do is make our road cars worse.
I wonder how redbull would work though, they currently get all their technology from a separate company to redbull racing and scuderia torro rosso, that is red bull technology. So they could technically still employ and spend as much as they want with that company.
