The bird flu strain was H5N1, not H1N1
Almost all of the people who have died had underlying health problems, some people died of other causes but were found to have swine flu
Swine flu is relatively mild, so mild in fact that it has been postulated 1 in 3 people who have contracted it didn't even know they had it!
Please, please don't speculate or panic, follow good hand hygiene, avoid contact with people if you are unfortunate enough to contract it but don't automatically assume that just because you sneeze/cough that you've got it! Let common sense prevail
Please refer back to NickyW's earlier thread, it is very factual and useful
Finally, the subject is very topical and the media will jump on the bandwagon whenever they can...
