There is, of course, nothing wrong with the end customers sourcing the best deal for themselves. There is everything wrong with people losing their jobs because of government interference resulting in an un-level playing field. As you rightly say, businesses are there solely to make maximum profit, governments do offer some protection to the workers....but not enough, and thats why unions are still needed. I have no problem with unprofitable companies (or those heading that way), from making redundancies. But just as the taxpayers need protecting against the greed of MP's, so workers need protecting against the unreasonable greed of bosses. Are you against the minimum wage?
