The point is that China evolved faster because it had nobody to argue with. The point you are making is if a democracy can be successfull but that is a totally different subject.

The subject we are talking about is if a hung parliament can work and I'm trying to point out that just one government consisting of one party struggles to keep pace with a strong dictatorship. So if one party struggles to make decisions then three parties with opposing views will find it almost impossible to make decisions.

Because of this I feel a hung parliament would be a disaster and at this current economic climate the last thing we need is uncertainty in the government.
