Forget tyre softener, buy yourself a Ł200 1.0 Vauxhall Corsa. Tyres are almost racing bike tyres they are so thin. Took it out last winter with a shovel deliberately trying to get it stuck in the snow, just wasn't possible, it plowed on through everything, even going up roads Range Rovers had got stuck on!! Only thing was the snow got up and blocked the radiator so it kept overheating. Even pulled a few BMW's up some hills it was that good!!
