In a previous existence, I had occasion to use a radar gun which uses the same principle as the gatso.

Sitting in the van, not going anywhere but with the fan on (it was cold), I noticed that the outdoors was allegedly travelling at 35mph.

I can understand where the op is coming from, even if some of the science is a bit iffy.

I'm not an electrical engineer (we treat them a bit like warlocks), but I am MBCS, MRSC and CChem.
